the Free Order

Run Free. Run Wild.

A secret society for the temporary and the flexible,

The Free Order is a secret society for the temporary and the flexible; for the horse without a herd; everyone is welcome, until they’re not.

We invite you to be initiated at your local stable, wherever that is, however long that is.

You will be asked to perform one of two initiation rituals which are as follows…

The Initiation Stone

At your local stable, you will be able to purchase an initiation stone for £1. What you do with that stone, is up to you. But, if you want to be initiated, you must place the stone at the altar of ‘Whippyboy’. Once placed, you will be required to ‘neigh’ or ‘whinny’ to complete the initiation. You will likely be overcome with a sense of awe, friendship, and community. Do not be alarmed, this is absolutely normal.

Free Labour

Alternatively, air drying clay will be available for you to make your own clay horse to be placed amongst the existing herd. Once you have made your horse, and placed it among the others, you must neigh or whinny to complete the initiation. Again, this form of initiation is no different to the ‘Initiation Stone’ in that you will likely be overcome with a sense of awe, a completeness, and a spirit that soars like a horse leaping over the fence that once kept them from running free and wild. This is completely normal, and excellent.

run free. run wild.

‘the free order’ is an answer to the question ‘is there a secret club i can join that requires little to no effort and almost no commitment?’

these are real problems for a great deal of us that live increasingly precarious lives that consist of flexible work and temporary housing.

with ‘the free order’, you don’t need to worry about long-term commitment to a group of fanatics or expensive initiation because we’ll either be leaving before you do or made redundant before you are!

it’s what we call in the secret society industry a win win win win win win win win win win win. In the shape of a pyramid. with secrets.

so saddle up, friend, and get ready to run free, and run wild.
